“We’ve been left behind in the past. The reason I’m doing this work is so we won’t be left behind this time…Highlighting our stories will take it to a broader audience.”
The future of the tech industry, and indeed our world, depends on the diversity of voices and perspectives that shape it. A prominent advocate for African Americans’ active involvement in the creation and development of tech is pushing forward with this visionary documentary. His compelling journey from the streets of Jacksonville to the heart of the tech world has led him to produce a documentary, “Tech In Black And White” which features captivating interviews with some of the most audacious tech leaders, shedding light on Black ownership of tech space.
“The most important part of the documentary is that the world has embraced technology and the notion that black people are not in tech is a myth. Black people are everywhere in tech, they just haven’t been seen. I’m shining a bright light on the black tech ecosystem.”
“Tech In Black And White” is a documentary about the unsung heroes of the tech world, who have been making waves in an industry that has been slow to embrace diversity and inclusion. The documentary features a list of the amazing people who sat down to talk about the future of black tech, their unique journeys in the tech industry, and why it is so important to keep building.
C’vonzell’s filmmaking journey began at the BronzeLens Film Festival, sparking his passion for storytelling. This led him to Atlanta Black Tech Week in 2018, where he recognized the need for diverse voices in shaping technology. In the rapidly evolving tech world, C’vonzell Dondrico is inspiring change by sharing the stories of African American tech leaders and advocating for diversity, breaking down barriers, and opening doors for others to follow.
